How We Do the Work

Old Town Greenwood, Inc. follows the Indiana Main Street Approach, which focuses on four key areas that work together to create a vibrant, sustainable district.

Organization (Our Board Members)

We bring people together.

This committee builds collaboration among businesses, residents, volunteers, and public partners to support long-term revitalization. Strong cooperation between the public and private sectors — paired with dedicated leadership — helps ensure meaningful, lasting impact.

Old Town Greenwood, Inc. is looking for passionate, engaged individuals who care about the future of our district and want to help shape what comes next.

Board members play an active role in guiding our mission and supporting our work through hands-on involvement. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute your time, ideas, and leadership to projects that strengthen Old Town Greenwood.

Board commitment includes:

One board meeting per month (approximately 2 hours)
- Second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM
Active participation in one or more committees
A two-year term commitment

Promotions

We tell the story of Old Town Greenwood.

Promotions focuses on marketing the district as a lively, welcoming destination for residents, visitors, and investors. Through events, campaigns, and storytelling rooted in local history and culture, we help position downtown as a hub of activity.

Design

We help shape how Old Town looks and feels.

Design enhances the physical appearance of the district through preservation, thoughtful improvements, and placemaking. From buildings and streetscapes to public art and signage, this committee helps create an inviting environment that reflects the character of our community.

Economic Vitality

We support local business growth.

Economic Vitality strengthens existing businesses while identifying opportunities for new investment. By understanding market trends and community needs, this committee helps build a downtown that is economically resilient and positioned for the future.
