General Expectations

Understand and support the mission of Old Town Greenwood, Inc.

Serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization within the community.

Contribute skills, time, and resources to advance the work of the organization.

Actively participate in at least one of our committees.
Confidentiality

Board members shall maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive or private information obtained through their service.

This includes, but is not limited to, participant identities, personal stories, court matters, financial records, and donor information.

Board members shall not use confidential information for personal gain or disclose it to unauthorized individuals.
Ethical Conduct

Board members are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism.

Conflicts of interest must be disclosed and appropriately managed in accordance with the organization’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
Attendance and Participation

Board members are expected to attend at least 75% of board meetings each calendar year.

If a board member is unable to attend a scheduled meeting, they should notify the board chair or executive director in advance.

Continued failure to meet attendance requirements may result in removal from the board, in accordance with the organization’s bylaws.

Members are encouraged to attend organization events, support fundraising efforts, and help identify prospective donors, volunteers, or partners.
