Be a Voice for Old Town Greenwood

Are you passionate about Old Town? Do you love supporting local businesses, welcoming new faces, or sharing what makes our community special?

​

Old Town Greenwood, Inc. is launching our OTG Hype Crew — a volunteer-based team of community ambassadors who help us create a welcoming, connected, and vibrant district through in-person engagement and authentic storytelling.

​

Hype Crew members serve as enthusiastic advocates for Old Town by supporting events, connecting with local businesses, and sharing their experiences in the district through their own social media platforms.

​

While we’ll never dictate what you post on your personal accounts, we do ask that Hype Crew members maintain a positive, community-minded presence that aligns with the mission of Old Town Greenwood, Inc. This role may not be the right fit for everyone — and that’s okay! We’re looking for people who are excited to represent and uplift Old Town both in-person and online.

All selected participants will receive:

  • Onboarding and training overview

  • Social media and engagement guidelines

  • Background on OTG initiatives and priorities

  • OTG Hype Crew shirt

Ways to Get Involved

​

Hospitality Crew

Help create a welcoming experience at OTG events by:

  • Greeting guests

  • Assisting with wayfinding or general questions

  • Supporting check-in or activation areas

  • Serving as a friendly face of Old Town Greenwood

​

Content Crew

Help expand awareness of Old Town by:

  • Creating social media content about local businesses, events, or experiences

  • Posting on your personal platforms and tagging OTG

  • Highlighting what makes Old Town special in an authentic way

  • Helping us reach new audiences through your perspective

​

Community Ambassador

Help us stay connected to the heartbeat of Old Town by:

  • Visiting a small group of assigned businesses periodically

  • Building relationships through informal, face-to-face check-ins

  • Taking “pulse checks” on what businesses are experiencing or needing

  • Sharing OTG updates, opportunities, or initiatives

  • Reporting back general insights to help inform our work
