Restore Old Town Greenwood, Inc. (ROTG) received word this week that the Greenwood residential historic district nomination passed technical review approval by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology (DHPA) on December 29, 2016. The application will now undergo Substantive Review. The project is 80%-90% complete and is running approximately 45 days ahead of schedule.
This project has been a collaborative effort between ROTG, the City of Greenwood and consultant Kurt Garner. Once this project is complete, homeowners in the residential historic district may receive tax credits at the state level for the preservation of historic buildings. Learn more about tax credits here.
